Snippets of a Kitchen

I thought I would give you a few glimpses 

of our "new" kitchen.

Its hard to believe how far it has come! 

 

 "Large Marge"

She sparkles in her new spot!

(and needs to be re-stocked with "real" food) 

I swear (there I go again) that the heavens shine down and illuminate over my oven.

Its THAT gorgeous :) 

  

I was so worried about having a corner sink.

Its actually wonderful being able to have a full view looking out

and have a plant or flowers in front. 

(too bad we have a dirt front yard! Not for long though.....) 

The first request for a home -cooked oven meal...

Tator Tots and Fish Sticks.

Oh yeah.

Fine cuisine baby!

Hey, I am just a short-order cook.

I cook whatever the masses want.

Hahaha..... 

  

 And then there was Miss Chipper herself.

Ain't she the cutest thing?

( I scored her on Craigslist, and made a new friend in the process!) 

She has a few boxes of ironstone and china 

that are dying to meet her and hang out inside her shelves! 

There are still quite a few small things that need to be done to "finish" the kitchen:

 - install kitchen cabinet hardware  

 - hookup the gas cooktop

 - hang pendant lights

 - strip and sand the old vintage beadboard closet armoire

(that will be used as our pantry - It is 6 ft wide and 7 feet tall!) 

But we are IN :) 

It is so weird staying in a new house....

all the different sounds and creaks that are new to us.

Its like having a sleepover! 

As soon as I can finish unpacking (ugh!) I will do a "before" and "after" post.

And put all the special "finishing" touches to our new house. 

Thats my favorite part!

I am just scared to make that first hole in the wall..... 

yikes.

We got over 4 inches alone last weekend!

Its looking like its going to be a very green spring
