A New Adventure

We are doing it.....
we are really doing it!

We have been wanting to buy a fixer-upper
to put our
blood sweat and tears
skills and talents to use
for some time now
(well not mine, but the Stigman's - HA!)

We figured now is better than never.....

So we jumped in and did it!

I am so excited and scared at the same time......

We will be documenting the whole thing
(not just for your benefit, but for ours!)

We never really kept a record (photos, etc.)
of our previous projects
It was just enough to do the work,
let alone keep track of it!!

Thats why I am so glad
that I have this
soap box......
and you!

I cant wait to show her to you,
our new "coop"
(cuz she is not a "nest" yet...)

She is a true vintage gal
older
worn
chippy
dirty
 rusty
 beat up
(she needs alot of work)

She is my best vintage find yet!!
hehehe....

I have lovingly named her "Edith"
(which means "rich" and "blessed")

Doesn't "Edith" just sound like a
fun-lovin
apron wearin
pie makin
ruffle-lovin
kinda gal??!

She sounds glorious, huh?
{she giggles}

Well, she's not that cute.
Not in the least.

Thats not her...
hahahaha

But you get the idea.

All I know is that we have
hope and hard work
(and ALOT of crying sweat and hand tools)
on our side!

Wait til you see what we are gonna do with her......

EEEEeeeeek ! ! !

Did I tell you I am sooo excited??!!

K, gotta go.

I just gave myself a tummy-ache from all the excitement .....

My husband always asks his new customers that want to remodel their homes "how good is your marriage?" LOL!

Good luck with your new adventure. I can't wait to get a visual of "Edith"

Good luck! We bought this house as a major fixer about 6 years ago. It's been a lot of work but it pays off when you've chosen everything and it's totally your style. congratulations.

HOW EXCITING! My husband and I bought a century home 2 years ago and have been fixing it up. It has been so rewarding to see each little transformation! We have also learned to be patient...you just can't fix everything all at once...it takes time (years) and money. But you just can't find that kind of character in newer homes! Enjoy!
