Ruby Rose and Antoinette

Well......
dont be mad at me

My camera decided to take an extended nap
(aka is not working!)
So I cant show you pictures of
the bed right now
:(

BUT....
I can tell you about the amazing place where I found her
and my fabulous "solo" shopping day
Yay!

Sooo.....
I have been meaning to cruise up north
to a favorite lil college town of mine
San Luis Obispo -

I used to go quite a bit....

But, you know how life
has a way of getting into the way
of fun, unimportant things...

Well, I finally got some free "me" time
this last Saturday

I made a whole "me" day out of my
Craigslist find
(the subway tiles - post below)

My supremo day went like this:

Stop#1 - my subway tile score
(technically Starbucks was Stop #1)

Stop #2 - a lovely time spent in downtown SLO
window shopping at some neato shoppes

I came home with:

cute ruffle lantern
clearanced white ruffley dress
(got them both at "CosaBella")
Can I just tell ya that the Stig is a real lucky duck that it was early
and I was being a "good" girl
cuz this place had some cool vintage stuff !
(sshhh...dont say anything, but im gonna go back - soon!)

vintage suitcase
and a sweet lil flower made out of old sweaters!
(got these at "The Nest")

I had eyeballed them at the Remnants Show....

Then I
stopped at a cool home store,
 "Habitat"
chatted with the sweet gals there
admired all the lovely furniture and accessories
but spared my savings account
only got a sweet bottle with a soldered cross stopper
(you are welcome honey)

made sure to stop at Urban Outfitters....
got a cute necklace
and this shirt

and this dress (on sale!)

Then.....

I stopped at a place I have been wanting to go
to FOR-EV-ER...
(said ala "Squints" from Sandlot)

This store is only open on Thursdays
and Saturdays

It is ran by the cutest gal, Stephanie

She named her little vintage gem of a shoppe
after her daughter, Ruby Rose

They travel in their airstream cross country
in style to find amazing vintage goodies

Oh how I loved this little store
It was like a flea market...
except all balled up in a quaint little garage
(there is billowy burlap ceilings!)

I enjoyed just admiring all the eye candy
and then I saw her in the corner....
I slyly undressed her
(yes, I bought 2 of her pillow shams that decorated her!)
searching all of her vintage coverings
for a price tag
and found none

I quietly asked if she was for sale
(it wasnt like I could toss her in a shopping basket,
and I couldnt just leave her for someone to snag!)
Imagine my excitement when Stephanie said she was!

And then.....
I began the mental debate
(the shoulder angel and devil were dookin it out)

I didnt have the truck
(remember I had my LOW-RID-ER car with me?!)
I was also pretty sure the Stig was not
going to be as thrilled as I was over finding
"Antoinette"
(she's french, can you tell?!)
Not to mention that Rylee didnt really "need" a bed......
(but she really needed this one!)

Luckily for me there were a handful of other
women in the shoppe to nudge me
in the right direction!

The only problem was there was no way
Antoinette was fittin in my car....

But then sweet lil Stephanie told me that she would meet me
on Sunday morning !
('member she is only open on Thurs and Saturdays)

 LOVE HER!!

So I swiped away and whispered to Antoinette
" I will see you tomorrow....."

And I will see you tomorrow too!

(the Stigman is home today and he pinkie promised that he would fix the camera for me)

That means pics of Antoinette tomorrow!

Shut. Up. I am SO jealous! (Just got your other comment on my other post.) And, please don't tell me that you got Antionette for something like $12 or I will up and die right here, right now. I have had a wanted ad on Craigslist for 5 months looking for a bed like that. Seriously...check the Elmira Craigslist & search for wrought iron bed...yep, that's me wantin' one. Sarcasm aside, I am so happy for that you found her (and all of your other things)!
